(More customer reviews)This is a good mouthpiece for the price, basically said. I'm pretty sure the plating is not silver, but it's only $30 so it's worth it, and I've been using it for maybe seven months and it's barely faded at all (but it's still not chrome-y like a silver mouthpiece would be).
Playing wise, the mouthpiece creates a nice dark tone, so it's good for concert band, and I was able to produce a G (above, above the staff) on it whereas I had only played a D or an E on a Bach 7D that I use for jazz.
Overall, I would say that this is definitely a good buy for anyone looking for a good, all purpose, inexpensive mouthpiece.
