(More customer reviews)I've been playing the flute for the past 10 years (nearly) and each time the need arises to buy a new instrument, I turn to Armstrongs. My first flute was a student quality Armstrong flute, nothing special but perfect to learn on. My second flute was slightly better quality, also an Armstrong and played with better response.
I recieved this particular flute after I'd been playing for 4 years and the instrument is still playing like the day I picked it up. The key response has slowed down to a degree but considering the number of football games, marching events, rehearsals, private practices, and concert my "baby" has seen, it's definately to be expected. The silver has stayed clear and bright through the years. Tone quality has stayed consistent, unlike many of the Yamaha and Jupiter flute's I've discovered my fellow musicians tend to favor.
This instrument is perfect for the serious musician and even for a student who's discovered a passion. Armstrong instruments as a group provide exactly what a musician needs to make a name for themselves or even to reach their potential more easily.
