(More customer reviews)This recorder rocks!! The "Garklein" is the true "piccolo" of the recorder family. Pitched in C it is one octave higher than a soprano. Typical Aulos quality is evident in this item. Very nicely made and extremely clear of tone, it has a voice that carries with little effort. Be prepared to have some difficulty covering the tone holes. Big hands will not be able to play this recorder. At less than 6 inches this is as small as they come. I could be wrong, but in over 20 years of playing recorder I have never found another manufacturer offer a low cost plastic Garklein. Typically they are considered a high end item and only come in wood. An excellent addition to any recorder players collection.
