(More customer reviews)I bought the OC 11 from Amazon with high hopes for a decent beginner's guitar. The sound quality was horrible - no depth and worst of all, there was a vibration on the two highest strings that continued even when changing notes/chords. So, the sound was not clean. The tuners are cheap plastic and if you order the guitar you should plan on upgrading the tuners. It was also not easy to get clean notes on the frets. It took a lot of pressure to get a mediocre sound. This might be improved with different strings, I don't know. I returned the one I bought because the sound quality was intolerable. I had a mid-grade rosewood Yamaha classical years ago and I am comparing this experience to that guitar which I played for years. Since the return of the Oscar Schmidt I have tested several Seagull guitars and they are high quality instruments. I have been told Seagulls are a best value buy, and my testing confirmed this opinion. Amazon sells Seagull guitars. Amazon was fantastic about the return. Maybe I received a faulty guitar. Maybe the higher end Oscar Schmidt guitars are worthwhile, but I do not recommend the OC11 and will not bother testing out any other Oscar Schmidt guitars.
